I Love My…

… Nike Gladiator Mids

So I’m not usually one to brag about personal treasures, but…. in this post I guess I am. Today I was talking with a friend, and he brought up the question of my “favorite pair of shoes and why.” It took me only a matter of seconds to gather my answer in my head: my Nike Gladiator Mids. I was walking around Kingly Court in London one day after work this summer, and I wandered into this sneaker shop. When I saw them it was like I had to have them on my feet. Four months later, I am still wearing them into November. So why do I love them? Well while my taste is somewhat selective, I would still categorize myself as a sneak head. And these shoes indulge both my feminine and sporty needs. Basically, if I could be any shoe, it would be this one. Not that I’m so sure I would choose to spend my existence as footwear…. Nevertheless, the Nike Gladiator is a novelty in my book. Comfortable, unique, simple, sexy and tough.

House of Harlow 1960 Footwear

houseofharlow1960footwear_clv

Nicole Richie is making her way up my good list. The Accessories Designer is expanding her collection into footwear, which is set for release sometime in January. With much similarity to her jewelry line, Richie pulls inspiration from geometric tribal patterns and designs in her new footwear collection. She’s beginning to resemble the likes of L.A.M.B. which is OK in my book. Maybe they’ll be a little more afforabable??? I won’t hold my breath though….

Trick or Treat!

Sam Edelman Women’s Bernadette Painted Bootie

I know it’s Halloween, but this is not a trick. Believe it or not, there has been released… a pair of mens inspired WOMENS shoes that are actually this fresh. The Sam Edelman Women’s Bernadette Painted Bootie comes in both Red and Camel. (This picture’s a bit too saturated, but it’s the only one I could find. The actual red isn’t so fierce.) Thoe shoe has a low profile classic appeal, but mixes it up with some splatter paint. The footbed is also thickly padded for extra comfort. Go ahead, make the boys jealous. They’re on sale at endless as we speak for $93-$98. I wouldn’t sleep on these.

Melissa Riding Boot

Frye came out with this beautifully handcrafted, antiqued leather, lace up riding boot. Style them with tights and a knee length dress, or skinny jeans and a blazer.

Burberry High Tops

Burberry came out with some high tops for women that I would definitely rock. I’m not going to go pay $279 for them, but I do love that buckle and gun metal leather.

Available at Zappos

Bake Something New…

I’m sorry, Vanessa and Angela, but your kicks weren’t cute before, and they’re still not cute now. And did you know these girls got sued by Johnny Cupcakes??? Kudos on the perforated leather, but over all… Tacky, tacky.
