“So for now I’m gon’ be gone till November, with these memories I remember, cus my heart is so cold like the middle of December. I will lend an open hand to anyone in my shoes. I swear they ain’t lying when they say your heart is the hardest thing to lose.”
The soon-to-be Duke Grad, Mike Posner, produduces and performs his own improved version of Soulja Boy’s Kiss Me Thru The Phone (in his dorm room). His mixtape ‘One foot Out The Door’ will be available on iTunes on October 29. It features the likes of Big Sean, Wale, Kid Cudi, 30H3, GLC, XV, Freddie Gibbs, Pill and Saigon.
And if you don’t already have his ‘A Matter of Time’ mixtape, it’s a must in my opinion. Favorite tracks: ‘Still Not Over You ft. Eric Holljes’ and ‘Cooler Than Me ft. Big Sean’ …. I’m just going to start listing every track, so I’ll just stop.

So I’m posting some stuff I would have posted a while ago, if I hadn’t just started this thing, but I’m playing catch up here. So for those of you who have yet to be put onto him, here he is- Kansas-bred XV. I love the thought behind his mixtape ‘Everybody’s Nobody.’ Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Colin Munroe, Harlem’s Cash, Ne-Yo & Lil Wayne all make appearances on the mixtape as well.

“Home is where the heart is, so I never have to search. But now that everybody’s fly, nobody’s down to earth. And everybody twitters, and everybody blogs, but nobody’s saying shit, they just copy paste it all. That’s how one person’s opinion becomes everybody’s thought. When the blind leads the blind, then everyone gets lost.”

“One day the world will stop moving, but we don’t abide by rules. And everything that we’re doing, they told us that we couldn’t do. And everyone said I was different, and all the other kids at school. I never really could pay attention, all I did was just move.”
In this interview with Hip Hop at Lunch, XtotheV lets us in on the thought process behind the title of his mixtape. Like he says, “there are so many egos” in the game, *cough* Kanye, but really, “Everybody’s nobody to somebody.” Nicely put.

I’m a big fan of The Noisettes. I saw them in concert while I was in London this summer. Coincidentally, I shared a plane ride back to Boston with the group, and the petite Shingai rolled out into the Arrivals area, sprawled across her luggage cart… what an entrance.
Take a peak at this mash up mixtape courtesy of Mick Boogie & Terry Urban. Combining the British indie rock trio’s ‘Wild Houng Hearts’ with Kanye’s ’808s and Heartbreak’.

The concept developed in the 1970s. The name refers directly to the Indigo-colored aura around this certain type of person. Indigo Children are thought to be strong-willed, intuitive and independent individuals. Along with their clear sense of self-definition and purpose, they are seen as being unusually creative and eccentric. These people are those who resist conformity and embrace change. They have been described as extremely empathic individuals and display an unprecedented level of kindness and sensitivity to the world around them.
