Lissie’s Pursuit of Happiness
Damn…. I love it. This is the first I’ve heard of this Illinois native folk rocker, Lissie. She released her debut EP, “Why You Runnin“, in November 2009. Her debut album, Catching a Tiger, was released just yesterday in the UK. The release date for the US is still unclear, but word is that it will hit late August.
Here’s one of her originals… I wasn’t crazy about the first two I heard, but I kept digging and found this one. It’s called “Everywhere I Go.” Tell me what you think…
Cudderisback Documentary

It’s all fun and games in Cudi’s “documentary” for his track, Cudderisback. While on the road in Boston, he decided to shoot a little music video in the hotel. Can you recognize the bouncy melody from somewhere? It’s Vampire Weekend’s “Ottoman.”
Video Breakdown: Cudi displays his lip-syncing skills to his own music as well as his abundance of weed. Way to cut down expenses for the shoot… well, that is depending on how much that weed cost.
Real Men Wear Kilts
Or do they??? I’m going with not quite. First Cudi pulled a Kanye during his interview with Nardwuar, and now he’s wearing kilts? It’s true, You are not seeing things, and this pic was not photoshopped. The Kid from Cleveland rocked a kilt on New Years Eve in Miami. I know Snoop wore one too, but who ever took fashion advice from him?? Some might want to give props for this “courageous” fashion risk, but it seems more like a cry for attention to me. Can we keep this tradition in Scotland and Ireland? Thanks guys.
Nardwuar Interviews Kid Cudi
On the topic of Cudi’s album, Man on The Moon, Nardwuar states that “Some people think the moon landing was faked.” Cudi responds, “Yeah man, some people do crack.” But seriously, … “I think it’s pretty legit. I dono, man… Shit I’ll let you know when I get up there.” lmao
Oh shoot, but he tries to dip in the middle of the interview…. ? ouch. That was a shot to the heart. I thought he would be more chill than that.

Second artist to sample this track (The Funeral) by Band of Horses. Cudi was the first, using it on The Prayer (when I first got hooked on this kid from Cleveland). Now, I hate to say it, but I think Soulja Boy outdid him with this one! He put a new spin on it, which I love.

Kid Cudi’s ‘Pursuit Of Happiness’ Video
