Wale’s Attention Deficit

Wale-Album-Cover

Wale’s Attention Deficit album, which dropped tuesday, is the talk of much excitement. The album showcases features from Chrisette Michelle to Gucci Mane, and many in between. I like how this album isn’t really in your face. I’ve got a feeling I won’t get sick of it any time soon. It is genuinely a good hip-hop album, in which the DC-born artist’s talent is undeniable. I usually appreciate a good storyline in an album, because I’m corny like that but Wale still brings a hard collection of tracks with Attention Deficit. Get it on iTunes here.

I’m still upset I missed seeing him when he came to Boston last Spring…. I made the bold decision to sacrifice a night of studying (the day before my Spanish final) to go see this concert at Harpers Ferry. I show up to the spot, and the tickets are sold out! I guess I shouldn’t have slept on those tickets… I learned my lesson.

My boy Modi goes in on the epic album on Dr. Jays and gives a thorough background on the DC artist. You’ll want to read it… here. That’s right, DC’s coming up.

“My Prada say PRADA and their Prada say FILA” I’ve had it in rotation since it was leaked in July, so it’s wearing thin on me, but Gucci goes hard on it. “Yeah they call me Gucci, but Imma buy you Louis.” The whole song is just too smooth.

Also, check out this freestyle he did on BBC Radio. “DMV we did it. Wale’s global…”
