lupe_420_story

Just a little reminder of the man who holds my heart (Alright, that’s a bit strong, but he’s holds my number 1 spot). True, Lupe seems to have dissapeared off the map lately, but he’s too busy climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro right now with Kenna. Little Weapon is still one of my favorite songs. True good music, like good style, never gets old.

Raiding Karla’s Closet

This girl is too cute. She has a great eye for picking out the right pieces, whether it’s hunting on ebay or sifting through the vintage shops and Forever21. Bonus – She breaks down all of her outfits pictured for you. I would raid her closet for sure. Check out Karla’s Closet.

(500) Days of Summer

2009_500_days_of_summer_wallpaper_004

Boy meets girl
Boy falls in love
Girl doesn’t

First-time filmmaker Marc Webb brings us an unparalleled postmodern love story. (500) Days of Summer is a story about love in real life. I saw this movie over Thanksgiving, and I fell in love. The split screens are brilliant, the team up is perfection, and as for the soundtrack… well that deserves it’s own post. Webb lets you see the City of Angels in a whole new way. Zooey Deschanel is one of my favorite actresses, and I think this is one of her best movies. This is a must see in my opinion. Personally, I’m looking forward to (500) Days of Autumn.

In one scene, Tom questions Summer about her previous relationships, and when asked what had went wrong, she replies, “What always happens. Life.”

Check out the videos after the jump.

The Cove

“The Cove exposes the slaughter of more than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises in Taiji, Japan every year, and how their meat, containing toxic levels of mercury, is being sold as food in Japan and other parts of Asia, often labeled as whale meat. The majority of the world is not aware this is happening as the Taiji cove is blocked off from the public. The focus of the Social Action Campaign for The Cove is to create worldwide awareness of this annual practice as well as the dangers of eating seafood contaminated with mercury and to pressure those in power to put an end to the slaughter.”

What a great way to spread awareness. I will admit, I’m not very educated on the dolphin situation in Japan, but I think we all need to educate ourselves a little more on stuff like this. The Cove came out in theaters this past summer. But if you haven’t seen it already, catch it on DVD December 8th.

5 Things You Can Do Now:

  1. Write to our leaders and help get the word out in Japan
  2. Learn more about dolphins in captivity
  3. Choose the safest fish to eat
  4. Help Save Japan Dolphins’ efforts on the frontlines
  5. Support the filmmakers with your donation

Proof That Girls Are Evil

I guess, as a girl, I shouldn’t be posting this, but I still find it quite amusing. And I would have to admit that some girls can be pretty evil, but not all.
